About raptnrent: I got the name from my keys - R Apt and R Ent for the back door to my apartment and the back door to the house. I liked that they were also words: Rapt, meaning enthralled, riveted, captivated, and Rent, meaning torn asunder, violently wrenched. I thought it made for an interesting juxtaposition, open to all kinds of interpretations.

Not the bees!
The first thing I thought of when I saw today’s prompt was the Wicker Man, because it is meant to be burnt, with appropriate occupants. So then I had to think of buy and steal. I think if I was … Continue reading

https://vimeo.com/515938004 Today’s Daily Create was a competition for the title of Best Bird. Since Big Bird was already in the prompt, I had to think of something else. I thought of Charlie Parker, but I’m not much of a bebop … Continue reading
Look at the window
Down by Law (1986) Jarmusch. For today’s Daily Create, we had to do an out-the-window shot, but make it creative. I took a photo of the window in the laundry closet, but wasn’t sure what I could do to make … Continue reading
Raiders of the lost loo roll
At this point I’m pretty sick of toilet paper jokes. I much prefer Jim Luke’s explanation of the issue, as it makes me feel like I learned something. Today’s Daily Create was a simple challenge, so simple that the real … Continue reading
Tagging UMW
Today’s Daily Create was Creative Graffiti. I tried a graffiti assignment a long time ago, so I liked the idea. I don’t have any recent pictures of graffiti, but I did photo some street art a while back. I could … Continue reading
