My feeble attempt at dramatic reading. I know I need to work on using my voice better. It doesn’t help that I can’t stand listening to it. You can take that as a warning.
I thought I’d try to do Cracker’s Teen Angst as a political speech. I’m not sure why – the idea just popped into my head. I put a bit of the tail end of the national anthem at the beginning, and used some Freesound crowd noises and applause in the background. I recorded my voice with Audacity, and played with several effects – amplify, normalize, echo, bass boost. You can hear some bass hum in there. Even with amplification, I had to lower the gain on the background noise, and raise it on the vocal. I added more cheering at certain points
