About raptnrent: I got the name from my keys - R Apt and R Ent for the back door to my apartment and the back door to the house. I liked that they were also words: Rapt, meaning enthralled, riveted, captivated, and Rent, meaning torn asunder, violently wrenched. I thought it made for an interesting juxtaposition, open to all kinds of interpretations.

Listen to the Limetown, part III
In listening to Limetown over the past few evenings, I’m struck by the references to other works. I wrote about three movies earlier. Off the top of my head, I remember these: The Little Foxes City Lights Double Indemnity Animal … Continue reading
Limetown listen-along, part II
We’ve been listening to Limetown during our ds106radio tweet-alongs. So far, we’ve heard: The show is very cinematic. This makes sense, since the creators are two film school grads. Making a movie takes major money, but making a podcast is … Continue reading

Awesome moments of spontaneous creativity
Sometimes they happen. ds106 is fertile ground for them. This morning I saw this tweet: In an office? Celebrate #StarTrek50 by pretending you’re under attack and all falling to one side then another. pic.twitter.com/hY2kjfjOrf — David Schneider (@davidschneider) September 8, … Continue reading
Now let’s take over the world.
One of the many awesome things about ds106 is the way the community’s creations become a constant source of inspiration. Evan posted a great Inkscape tutorial on making a flag, and added an animation of the flag waving at the … Continue reading
