About raptnrent: I got the name from my keys - R Apt and R Ent for the back door to my apartment and the back door to the house. I liked that they were also words: Rapt, meaning enthralled, riveted, captivated, and Rent, meaning torn asunder, violently wrenched. I thought it made for an interesting juxtaposition, open to all kinds of interpretations.

Everything Is the Same as It Ever Was
I’ve always wanted to do the David Lee Roth audio remix assignment but never came up with a good use for it. Maybe I still haven’t, but I made this thing: The other day I saw a tweet from Open … Continue reading

I never really liked the Make It 800% Slower assignment. It usually results in a never ending drone, and people give themselves 4 stars for what is little more than a click of a button. However, I thought I might try … Continue reading

There’s never been a paper bag…
Inspired by the WaffleStomper, I thought I’d try remixing a song and some speech. Keeping with The Wire theme, I was also inspired by the speech that Major Colvin gave about the history of the paper bag. I decided to … Continue reading

A while back I was looking through Youtube to see if anyone had done a fan video mash up of Mario Bava’s Black Sabbath and Black Sabbath’s Black Sabbath from the Black Sabbath album. I couldn’t find one – maybe it’s too obvious. Then … Continue reading
