The Internet brought this to my attention the other day. It’s from a Canadian variety series called Quest, back from the days when TV could be experimental. Basically the video has Bob playing in some backwoods cabin for a bunch of mostly disinterested smokers. See the first comment under the video:
“Hey kid, make sure you buss those tables and clean out the grease trap when you’re done ‘changing’ the world'”.
I like the chiaroscuro lighting and the random shots of the observers, so I thought I’d try GIFfing it. I played with masking and coloring a bit – the coloring came out okay, but the masking not so much because the camera isn’t as still as it seems. I guess I got a little carried away.
This is some awesome GIFFing, haven’t seen a run like this in a while. I am envious!
Well, it was an interesting set of ones to look at because I recognize the guy in the first picture shaking the cigarette and in the third picture with the eyes (plus other ones you made). He was on Canada TV back just after my big break on The Twilight Zone but he was on a Canada show called The Forest Rangers where he played Joe Two Rivers who is a First Nations friend of all the kid Junior Rangers who camped out in the old fort
and had adventures.
It was interesting to look up on IMDB and find out that his name is Michael Zenon from Czechoslovakia and that after he made some of those Canada TV shows he did a lot of first assistant director for movies that you will know if you look at the list, like Johnny Mnemonic and murder at 1600 and Exit Wounds all of which UNCLE @JimGroom can probably get on video for his store.

Oops, he came from the Ukraine not Czechoslovakia. Sorry.
In he Mission Impossible movie the girl with the little VHS tapes on the airplane says that maybe he wants the movie from the theatre of the Ukraine, which is a tradecraft code for “pick this one.”
